The LNG submersible pump is mainly composed of a flow guide, a diffuser, an electric motor, a spindle, a bearing and a thrust balance structure. The pump adopts a centrifugal structure, which has the characteristics of high speed, small volume and simple structure of centrifugal pumps.
The flow guide in the submersible pump is used to reduce the resistance of the LNG at the suction inlet, so that the liquid can work at a lower pressure and liquid level, and can also prevent cavitation; the submersible pump will produce a certain amount of gas during operation. The centrifugal force and this part of the centrifugal force can be realized by the diffuser blades in the pump, because the diffuser and the fluid are symmetrical;
The core component of the submersible pump, the motor, is immersed in LNG. The motor can be directly cooled and is very safe in an oxygen-free environment. However, because the submersible pump cable is at low temperature, special design and low-temperature resistant materials (polymer) are required. Tetrafluoroethylene) can keep the cable working in good condition at -200°C, so there is no need to use an explosion-proof motor.
